Prosecutor IDs Man Killed In Bergen County Hit-Run Crash

Authorities have released the identity of the man killed in a hit-and-run crash in Bergen County on Friday night, Oct 11 — the county's second fatal hit-and-run accident a pedestrian in 24 hours.

Paul Adams, whose last known address was in Wyckoff, was struck on Godwin Avenue near Witte Drive in Midland Park just before 7:10 p.m., Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella said.

He was taken from the scene to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center where he was ultimately pronounced dead. The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Fatal Accident Investigation Unit was notified and responded.

On Thursday night, Oct. 10, George Arnold was killed at the intersection of Ridge Road and Milton Avenue in Lyndhurst. He was a cook at the popular Route 17 restaurant Steve's Sizzling Steaks.
